Loved it! My only feedback would be some sort of way to lock some answers are correct (for instance, when one profile is fully figured out, it's entirely locked) so we know where to keep looking. I struggled for a bit for the last victim, thinking I was off-base, but I was actually right all along and had simply made a small mistake in a completely different profile.
Then again, there's just a small enough number of profiles that it was still manageable (and very satisfying!), so maybe not necessary on this scope... but I would love more of this!
Definitely great job with the information delivery, realistic misleading and the subtle hints. Amazing the things you can get from pure inference. I loved the "oohh!! wait I got it I know I know!!" moment I got on the last victim's identity. Also interesting take on the genre where we don't care much on the who-dun-it, but who the victim was and what happened to them.
No. There are two artifacts related to your grand-parents: the newspaper article about the house fire and the love letter. They were there for lore purposes.
If I expand on the game I have ideas concerning the overarching storyline
very nice! Well everything seemed to work for me, but the identity of the last victim - I just guessed until I got that one. But was very well crafted!
Super enjoyable entry, loved solving this one. The mystery was very effectively written, and the interactions were nicely polished. Had a similar initial idea of document game myself actually for the Game Jam. I couldn't get it work so did something completely different in the end, but glad someone managed to execute this structure in such an enjoyable manner.
Only thing I'd suggest is to make the workable space a little bit larger so players can fully organise evidence, but that's pretty tiny issue and managed to solve it regardless.
Thank you, I really appreciate it! The workable space was a bit small but I wanted the player to have the feeling of “too many articles to look at”. I had an idea to have boxes you had to open to take out articles and that you could used to organize yourself, but I ran out of time since I only decided to participate in the jam in the last week.

Yes that would make it a bit more obvious. Thank you for the feedback!
I solved it! Were we supposed to see the Grandma's forward to her book at some point?
